The campus community is invited to attend any or all of the 5 sessions of New Critics, New Writers 2024, the English Department’s annual undergraduate conference. This year’s sessions take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-3:45 in the Lee Hall Freedom Room and Craven Lounge. Sessions will include readings of creative non-fiction on “Race and Education” (April 25); a discussion of Dune (April 30), an alumni panel titled “Beyond the Barista Stereotype” (May 2), presentations of current students’ research and web design (May 7), and a reading by our poets and fiction writers (May 9).
