Article by James Ebert featured in National Association of Geoscience Teachers magazine

James Ebert, Emeritus, Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, is the author of the featured article in the October issue of In the Trenches, the news magazine of the National Association of Geoscience Teachers. The article is titled “The ESPRIT Listserv: Thirty Years of Peer-Driven Professional Development in a Vibrant K-16 Community of Practice.”

ESPRIT, which stands for Earth Science Peer Resource for Improved Teaching, is the largest of the secondary science listservs hosted by the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences with over 2260 subscribers from at least 26 states and 4 foreign countries. ESPRIT was founded in 1989 as part of a Dwight D. Eisenhower Title IIa grant written by Dr. Ebert and the late Dr. Reuben James of the Department of Physics and Astronomy
