Faculty featured in lecture series on race

Four SUNY Oneonta faculty members will be featured speakers in an August lecture series for the Dyckman Farmhouse Museum in New York City. Titled “Talking about Race Matters,” the series will include:

Dr. Sallie Han and Dr. Tracy Betsinger (Anthropology), “The Anti-Racism Starter Pack: 5 Things to Know about Race, Racism, and Anti-Racism,” on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 6 p.m.

Dr. Gretchen Sullivan Sorin (Cooperstown Graduate Program), “Driving While Black: Race, Space, and the Automobile,” on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 6 p.m.

Dr. Maria Chaves Daza (Africana and Latinx Studies), “Thinking Through Race Formations in Latin America and the U.S.,” on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 6 p.m.
