Sustainability showcase on climate change scheduled for Friday

“Owning Your Impact on Climate Change: A Sustainability Showcase” – Friday, Feb. 28, from 4-6 p.m.

The President’s Advisory Council on Sustainability (PACS) and the Office of Sustainability are pleased to present a showcase focused on climate change, to be held in the A.J. Read Science Discovery Center (SDC), 112 Physical Science Building, on Friday, Feb. 28, starting at 4:00 p.m.

Presentations will include:

  • Emma Sarnacki (SDC Graduate Intern): “The 2061 Project: Imagining a Positive Climate Future”
  • Paul Bischoff (Chair, Secondary Education & Educational Technology Department): “Climate Change in the Curriculum”
  • Jim Mills (Associate Professor, Geography & Environmental Sustainability Department): “Pilgrimage Pathways to a Greener World”

Hands-on activities will include carbon footprint calculators, a clothing mending station sponsored by the Revival of Apparel Club (RAC), and tabling by various sustainability-related clubs and programs (e.g. CGP Science Museum Studies). Refreshments and giveaways, too!
